Hi guys, I originally posted this over in the main forum and was pointed in this direction. Below is a copy/paste of what I posted there, just looking for your opinion on the situation please. Thanks
>>>>Hi guys I’m getting there slowly but surely in regards my first WordPress website, however on my journey I’m finding bumps in the road.
Just tonight I installed WP Super Cache and it’s working pretty good on the basic settings which is great, but at the top of the screen it tells me that my wp-content is writable and recommends I change the permissions.
It say’s this Warning! /var/www/vhosts/17/156122/webspace/siteapps/WordPress-10296/htdocs/wp-content is writeable!
You should change the permissions on /var/www/vhosts/17/156122/webspace/siteapps/WordPress-10296/htdocs/wp-content and make it more restrictive. Use your ftp client.
Can I get your opinion on this, do I really need to change the permissions on this ? And if so, I’ll log in via Filezilla and can change from in there ?
Thanks in advance
